Robotic arm is an automatic control device that can imitate the functions of human arm and complete various tasks.

Mechanical arm has been widely used in industrial automation, mainly for work that can not be done manually or to save labor cost.

Since the invention of the first industrial robot, the application of the robot arm can be found in commercial agriculture, medical rescue, entertainment services, military preservation and even space exploration.

The rotation of the mechanical arm requires accurate rotation, and generally, the reducer motor will be used. Some robotic arms use encoders (closed loop systems). The cost of servo motor is relatively high, and using stepping motor a cheaper option.
